Our workshops are different
We mix art instruction with carefully curated private field trips where we meet indigenous master artists and artisans in their studios out in the far flung pueblos, sit with them to hear their stories, get to know their process and cultural traditions, share an intimate afternoon with them. Then we bring these experiences into our art classes.

Going to a new place invigorates you
Many visitors to Oaxaca never make it past the tourist center – we will go direct to the heart and soul of this ancient place – the studios, kitchens, streets and markets – and get to know the people and traditions with their rich culture, food, and art.
What will your experience with us be like?
Magical, inspiring, hands-on, featuring guided experiences, field trips for art and culture, total creative and cultural immersion in a bilingual, bicultural environment. We offer small group art + culture workshops 2-3 times a year, plus customized 3-10 day art retreats for up to 3 people. Practice your Spanish while learning art with us. We’ll pick you up from downtown Oaxaca and bring you to our studios.
